Major Changes in Political Standing
The United Republics recognized the rebel Bon government on April 21, 1998, and the Shriver Empire did likewise on April 27, 1998. Loomisapania recognized the new nation early in May and Slavakia soon followed. Following a peace agreement between the waring nations of Pionasia and Bon, the Autonomous Province of Forchbon also recognized Bon.
Major Changes in Military Strength
Loomisapania built one new transport aircraft which it donated to the West Beach Naval Academy Museum, instead of placing in active service.
The United Republics opened a new Air Force base in Borg.
Major Changes in Military Deployment
Loomisapania and the Shriver Empire all transferred personnel to the new United Republican air base in Borg as part of Operation UniForce, which is designed to maintain the peace between Bon, Pionasia, and the Autonomous Province of Forchbon. No aircraft have been deployed by these nations however.
Current Military Operations
Autonomous Province of Forchbon vs. Bon
The A.P. of Forchbon and Bon are still scermishing in what is essentially a continuation of Bon’s war for independence from Pionasia. Bon would like to control more of the territory that is being governed by the A.P. of Forchbon, and Forchbon would like to maintain its geographic integrity. The A.P. of Forchbon is being aided by Pionasia. A peace agreement has ended most of the fighting.
Bon vs. Pionasia
Pionasia continue and Bon continue to scermish along their border in Pionasia's effort to retake Bon, which some in Pionasia still consider a rogue province. Bon is fighting a war it considers an independence movement. A peace agreement has ended most of the fighting.
Western Coast vs. anti-government guerrillas
The government of the Western Coast continues a small campaign to eliminate anti-government rebels in the rural areas of the country.
Operation UniForce
A united operation of the air forces of Loomisapania, the Shriver Empire, and the United Republics, which is designed to maintain the peace agreement between Bon, Pionasia, and the Autonomous Province of Forchbon. No aircraft are involved at this time, but the United Republican base in Borg serves as the center of the operation.
