Paragraph on the Canary Islands Presentation

I found the presentation on the Canary Islands to be interesting in a few ways. The first was that I really had no idea what the Canaries were like. Learning about their culture, vegetation, climate, etc. was all very cool. What I did not get from the presentation, although it might have been mentioned, was when the Spanish arrived in the islands and why they have continued to be Spanish territory. They promotional booklets that she passed around were most informative. I think that the islands will be a place I might enjoy visiting someday.

Por muchas razones me interesó la presentación de las Islas Canarias. El primer es que nunca tenía idea de como eran las islas, ni como era su cultura, ni vegitación, ni ambiente, etc. Fue bien aprender de estas cosas. Aunque es posible que ella mencionara este, lo que no aprendé de la presentación era cuando llegaron en las islas los españoles y porque siguen a partenecer a España. Me informaron mucho los libritos promocionales que ella nos dio. Creo que me gustaría visitar las islas algun día.
