The 1990's

I think this is my second favorite RKSR patch ever. Maybe it's because it was the first year I attended the Scout side of camp.

This was my little brother's first year out at scout camp. Since this was such a momentous occasion they had to make the patch bigger to celebrate his presence and greatness. Ah yes, my heart longs for the good old days.

Note also that this was the last of the "Bird" patches.

Note that the dark color on this patch is actually green, not black. Sorry for the rather disappointing scan.

This was the last of the "Raccoon" series. Once again, the dark colored border and fleur-de-lis are green not black.

The eighty-fifth anniversary of Scouting in the United States served as the theme for this patch.

Eagles seem to be a common theme for celebratory years out at camp. This was the 75th Anniversary year for Rota-Kiwan, definitely cause for celebration.

Don't be confused by the name Camp Madron on this patch, it's really a Scout side RKSR patch. To commemorate the old Camp Madron, one to the two camps the council closed when it merged in 1973, the Boy Scout side of Rota-Kiwan began going by the name Camp Madron. The background of this patch is really a very dark green, not black.

Once again, the Scout side of Rota-Kiwan went by the name of Camp Madron. Only time will tell how long this trend will last, or if the name will stick. Sorry about the bad scan, that's really a frontiersman next to the eagle.
